Our Story

Born at the top of the world

OlenArc started as Arcnito in Utqiaġvik, the northernmost city in America — and, to our knowledge, the first AI studio founded above the Arctic Circle. That early work — an AI and community-resource-navigation concept for Tribal programs — grew into what we build today: AI-enabled dashboards, workflow tools, resource hubs, reporting systems, and public-sector implementation.

Delivery philosophy

Systems shaped around the program

The program should shape the system—not the other way around. We learn how the work actually happens, build with the people who run it, and stay accountable through launch and operations.

  • Start where the work happens. When local context, staff handoffs, or rollout conditions materially affect the system, we include an on-site working session in the scope. The same person leading that session remains accountable through build, acceptance, and support.
  • Co-design with the people doing the work. Program staff shape the screens they will run every day — and the client retains ownership and export rights for its data. Source-code, repository, cloud-account, hosting, and handover terms are defined in the SOW.
  • Operate what we ship. Launch is the middle, not the end: hosting, support, and iteration stay on our desk when the engagement includes operations — the way the ASCF platform and OlenHub run today.
Who does the work

A senior team, staffed to the work

Every OlenArc engagement has one accountable delivery lead, a named senior engineering lead, and specialists added by scope. Each person committed to a project is named, with a defined role, in the proposal or SOW. OlenArc remains accountable for the complete delivery.

Lorenzo Chu Founder & delivery lead Discovery, solution decisions, acceptance, and ongoing delivery on every engagement. Works from Utqiaġvik, Alaska and Scottsdale, Arizona.
Joseph Wu Senior engineering lead Senior AI and engineering leader at a global consultancy; leads architecture, AI, and data on OlenArc engagements.
By scope Named specialists Design, data, accessibility, and domain specialists added when a project requires them — named in the proposal or SOW. Personnel-eligibility and data-residency requirements confirmed per engagement.

Where we stand: OlenArc is a civilian, non-Native-owned studio. We work under each client’s governance authority and partner with Native-owned firms where procurement requirements or community benefit call for it.
